Johanna Karjus

👩🏻 Johanna is the founder of Spirit Studio. She started shuffling in 2019 in Amsterdam when her friend Josefine introduced her to this dance. Only 1 year into shuffling Johanna started passing on her knowledge and passion to others who were interested in this dance. In 2021 she started teaching in a dance school and when she moved to Estonia is 2022 she set herself a goal to promote this dance in Estonia as well. She continued teaching in different dance schools and now is on a next journey with her own studio.

❤️‍🔥 Johanna is also very active in the international shuffle community, teaching in different countries in Europe as well as participating/organizing/judging shuffle/shapes tournaments.

👟 Johanna believes that shuffling is a way to express, connect and to be present. Community and the culture is a big part of shuffling and Johanna wants to cultivate this in Estonia with the help of the new studio. Shuffle classes are the place where people can feel accepted, challenged, heard and free to express themselves.
